PERKINS, Alva Louise – Of Flint Township, age 90, died Saturday, July 18, 2020 at her residence.
Private service will be held
Cremation has taken place and burial of cremains will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
Alva was born in Flint, Michigan on July 2, 1930, the daughter of the late Lawrence R. and Fannie Mae (Dockham) Good.
She was talented in cake decorating, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and all kinds of crafts.
She was a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles holding an officer position and was Mother of the Year.
Alva was employed by AC Spark Plug for 33 years, retiring in 1982 and lived in Hale, MI after retiring.
Surviving are 10 children, Linda (Steve) of Burton-Flint,
Janet Vroman of Davison,
Barbara (Dave) Biga of Flint,
Robert (Dianne) Perkins of Lennon,
Gail (Tom) Sheppard of Flint,
Donald Perkins of Flint,
Susan (Pat) Gaston of Highland, MI,
Bart Perkins of Swartz Creek,
Patty (Alan) Means of Arkansas and
Larry (Beth) Perkins of Swartz Creek;
15 grandchildren;
16 great-grandchildren;
16 great-great-grandchildren;
many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Perkins; sisters, Laurene and Mildred; brother, Carl.
