PIPER, Justin A. – of Davison, age 83 passed away December 26, 2015 at his home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 2 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-3 and 5-8 PM Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and 1-2 PM Wednesday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Davison Senior Center or International Myeloma Foundation.

Justin was born in Detroit, MI on September 4, 1932, son of the late Edward and Clara (Kniga) Piper. He married Doris Saari on December 29, 1956. Justin proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He was very active at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, was a member of the Knights of Columbus since he was 18 years old and was a member of the Elks Club Lodge # 1982 in Houghton Lake. Justin was a teacher for the South Redford School District for 31 years and after retirement, he worked in real estate for 10 years.

Justin is survived by his wife, Doris Piper; son, John (Julie) Piper; daughter, Amy Salisbury; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Theresa Gronczewski, Sylvia Shinska. He was preceded in death by his son, David Piper.
