HAWK, Susan (Sims) “Sue” - Of Flint Township, age 53, passed away suddenly Monday, July 8, 2019 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, you may donate to Whaley Children’s Center.
Visitation 1-8pm Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the funeral home.
Susan was born on November 6, 1965, the daughter of Clyde and Loucille (Tomei) Sims. Sue was loved by so many, her family, friends and all that knew her. She was a very devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend to all that knew her. Sue loved her family, gardening, movies, reading and having family parties. She was a dedicated worker at Lighthouse Insurance Company for over 25 years. Her co-workers were a huge part of her life. Sue was a member of Epsilon Sigma/Beta Omega Sorority.
Surviving are husband, Mark Hawk;
son, Jason Hawk;
daughter, Kristin Hawk and Dylan Lupro;
siblings, Vicki and Steve Lacey, Rick Sims and Laura Ikard, Steve and Tracy Sims, Cheri and Dan Proffer, Kathi and Craig Alberson, Greg and Kathy Sims;
mother-in-law, Lillian Hawk;
brother-in-law, Gary Hawk and Lorrie;
sister-in-law, Lori and Ron Sherrer;
many nieces and nephews, Jenn, Tim, Heather, Derek, Sarah, Kaitlyn, Bruce, Trevor, Shannon, Shelby, Larissa, Aaron, Garrett, Dani, Brady, Tarin, Dylan, Sarah, Alli, Alaina, Aaron, Jennifer, Kyle, Ronnie and Morgan;
aunts, Judy and Bob Conway, Beth and Bill Derwin, Betty Tomei and Kay Tomei;
uncles, Larry and Janice Sims, Joe and Cindy Tomei;
many cousins, 8 great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Loucille Sims; father-in-law, Don Hawk; uncles, Lester and Chester.
Sue will be deeply missed by her family and dog, Roxie, Lucy, Kai and many friends. She was the kindest, loving, giving and caring person to all of us! Heaven gained an angel and we will miss our Queen!
