Age 52, of Clio died Saturday, February 8, 2014. The funeral service will take place 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Dan Shinabarger will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park with graveside Military Honors conducted by the Gordon R. Bennett VFW Post #1452. Leo’s family will be present that the funeral home on Monday to receive friends from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. On Tuesday from 9:00 am until time of service at 10:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family.
Leo was born October 19, 1961, in Flint, Michigan. The son of Leland K. and Katherine L. (Guerrier) Burch. Leo attended Clio High School. Shortly after high school, Leo proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving for two years until receiving his honorable discharge. Leo enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR. Left to cherish his memory two sons, Jason Burch and Jeremy Wheat; parents, Leland K. (Katherine) Burch; two sisters, Tambra-Lynn (Randy) Sage, Christina (Andrew) Reip; girlfriend Anitra Jordan; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, special cousin Ronnie Burch, special friends Andy, Vic, Al and Little Bill, and many other cousins and friends.
Leo was preceded in death by his grandparents.
