Elliott, Lawrence R “Larry” of Flushing, age 76 died March 2nd, 2025 at Hyde Park Assisted Living.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 11th at 12:00 pm at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church in Swartz Creek 9252 Miller Road Swartz Creek, MI. Fr Gene SSC officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.

Visitation 4-8pm on Monday, March 10th at Swartz Funeral Home 1225 W Hill Road Flint MI. Visitation from 11 am at the church until time of service.
Larry was born in Flint MI June 23, 1948 to the late Raymond and Jacqueline Elliott. He was a lifelong resident of Flint and more recently Flushing. He married Claudia Marie Stone on July 17, 1971, she preceded him in death on June 17, 2017.
Larry was a 1966 graduate of Ainsworth High School. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a BBA in 1970. He was also a part of the ROTC program and was an officer in the US Army and Army reserves. After graduating from Western he worked many years in sales for over 18 years with Castrol Motor Oil covering Michigan and Ohio. He was active in church as treasurer, vestry member, Sunday school teacher and member of the choir. He spent time coaching boys and girls softball teams in the 70’s and 80’s. He was a founding member of the Flint River Valley Steelheaders, board member for over 30 years as well as chairman for many boat shows. In the 80’s and 90’s he was active in various committees for Carman-Ainsworth School District. He enjoyed traveling, golfing and fishing especially with his grandsons.
Surviving are Suzanne Smithson, daughters Lisa (Dave) Ritz of Manitou Beach, Rae Ann Elliott of Wyoming, brother Randall (Jeanne) Elliott of Burton, grandsons Carson and Cameron Ritz, Keegan Williams; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
The family would like to thank Dr Peram of Triumph Cancer Center, Dr Halim and staff, The Medical Team Hospice, and Fr Gene Geromel and Deacon Steve Maas for their spiritual care, visits and guidance.
