LEECK, Evelyn Esther - Age 94, of Fenton, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 11, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 806 Main St, Fenton, Pastor Dean Dumbrille officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and at church Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund. Evelyn was born February 16, 1918 in Ossineke, the daughter of William and Margaret Dohn. She had resided in Fenton since 1977 coming from Flint. She retired as a Dental Assistant after 25 years of service. Evelyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies Guild. She also was a member of the Fenton V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #3243, Fenton American Legion Auxiliary Post #38 and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and crafts. Surviving are: 2 children, Francis and wife Darlene Leeck of Montrose and Delores and husband Forrest Shook of Fenton; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sister, Anne Bordner of St. Charles, IL; brother, William Dohn, Jr. and wife Helen of Flint; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Lyle and Marvin Leeck and brother, Norman Dohn. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
