ZERULL, Robert "Bob" -- Age 89, of Linden, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, June 1 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad Street, Linden. Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Entombment in Tyrone Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Fenton. Visitation will be held 3-7 PM Sunday and 10-11 AM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Whaley Children's Center.
Bob was born July 9, 1925 in Grand Rapids, the son of Leland and Laura (Mason) Zerull. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School and received his Bachelors degree from Michigan State Agricultural College and where he was a member of Sigma Nu. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. He married Janelle Brown on February 21, 1953 in Angola, IN; and she preceded him in death on May 2, 2014.
He had worked for Buick in accounting and then worked as a manufacturers representative for many years. He established the Robert Zerull Company in Linden in the 1970's, which he owned and operated until his death.
He was a longtime member of Spring Meadows Country Club where he had served as past president. Bob was an avid golfer, and he enjoyed fishing and traveling, but most important in his life was his family.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Patti Hunt (Jeff Hudkins); grandchildren, Garth (Allison) Hunt, Laura (Scott) Grant, Justin (Leah) Hunt; nine beloved great-grandchildren; brother Jack (Janet) Zerull. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Janelle.
