SKUNDA, Chrystal Jean age 72- of Flint, died Friday, September 5, 2014 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 1:00PM to 8:00PM at Reigle Funeral Home – Sunset Chapel 5501 W. Pierson Rd. Flushing, MI 48433. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Interment will take place immediately following at Flint Memorial Park. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Chrystal was born on September 15, 1941 in Flint, MI to William and Lela (Shepard) Collins. She married Allan Skunda on November 1, 1957 in Flint, MI. She worked as a secretary for Michigan Fence Company for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Chrystal enjoyed playing cards with her friends and taking trips to the casino to play the slot machines. Chrystal is survived by her husband Allan; children, Sue (Tim) Snyder, Keith (Marianne) Skunda, Sandra Carter; grandchildren, Nicholas (Tera) Hodge, Rachel (Timmy) Elleman, Sam and Hannah Fleet; and great-grandson, Tucker Hodge and many other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Keith Collins, Robert Collins, William Collins Jr., James Teichert; special sister-in-law, Joan Collins. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the nursing staff of McLaren 6th floor CCU and ICU. “You were incredible in our time of need.” They also want to thank all of her special friends that are like family.
