RODGERS, Christine – of Burton, age 67, passed away June 21, 2016. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, June 24, 2016 at Our Risen Lord Lutheran, 4040 Lapeer Rd, Burton; Pastor Susan Lidums officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 12-2 & 6-8 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service at church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Risen Lord or Salem Lutheran Church.
Christine was born in Flint, MI on January 17, 1949, daughter of Chuck and Margaret (Scherping) Williams. She married Steven B. Rodgers on September 20, 1981 and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2012. Christine was a member of Our Risen Lord and was very involved at Salem Lutheran Church. She was a volunteer at Hurley Lobby shop and loved jigsaw puzzles. Christine worked as a Pharmacy technician.
Christine is survived by her sons, Gavin and wife Laura Rodgers, Ethan and wife Liz Rodgers; grandson, Matthew; father-in-law, Don Rodgers; brother-in-law, Patrick and wife Amy Rodgers; niece, Emma; many relatives and close friends.
