BARKMAN, Edna Rose – of Flint, age 91, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Bentley Wesleyan Church, 6150 Lapeer Rd., Burton, Pastor Steve Johns officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Thursday and 10-2 PM & 4-8 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bentley Wesleyan Church or Russellville Wesleyan Church.
Edna was born in Flint, MI on January 7, 1921, daughter of the late David and Cynthia (Burdick) Randall. Edna was a member of Bentley Wesleyan Church. She was a wonderful homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Edna is survived by children, David (Joann), Russell (Sandra), Leslie (Linda), Mary (John) Brown, Doug, Michael (Teresa), Mark (Renee); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Russell Herbert Barkman; daughter, Ferol Weston.
