Philip H. Miner, age 79, of Holly, died Sun. Nov. 15, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wed. Nov. 18, 2015 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly, with Pastor James Disbrow officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be from 3-9 PM Tues. Mr. Minor was born in Holly on Nov. 14, 1936 the son of Frank and Gladys (Duckering) Miner. He was retired from GM where he worked at Fisher Body and the Lake Orion plant and was a member of UAW Local 594. He was a member of the Holly Apostolic Church and he had a passion for preaching. He also loved gardening, hunting, fishing, bowling, and his dog Piper. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; 3 children, Marshalene (Albert) Parks of Holly, Michael (Diana) Costa of Holly, and Penny (Keith) McDowell of Holly; 9 grandchildren, Albert Jr., Corey, Deanna, George, Angel, Lindsey, Andy, Joel, and Jerry; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sister-in-law Edie Miner of Holly. He was preceded in death by his brother Vernon Miner and sisters Donna Mae Parcell and Lena Lee Harley.
