AMEY, Ellery Arthur – of Davison, age 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 3, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, February 9, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday and 10-11 AM Friday.
Ellery was born in Flint, MI on May 26, 1928, son of the late Alfred and Elspia (Finkbeiner) Amey. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. Ellery married Beverly Ann Way and she preceded him in death. His hobbies included carving in stone and wood, drawing landscapes and portraits. Ellery was also an avid model (radio control and control line) airplane enthusiast.
Ellery is survived by his faithful companion, Marsha Nail; sons, Ronald (Debra), Donald (Deanna), Allen, Kenneth; grandchildren, Daniel Bruff, Christopher, Ryan, Timothy, Jeromy, Aaron, Allisa, Rachel; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Eunice Lasley, Leon Amey, Jerome Amey; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Amey; brother, Arnold Amey and sister, Neoma Elowsky.
