Marian Belle Keast, age 96, went to be with her gracious and loving Lord on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Genesee Care Center in Grand Blanc, MI. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Pastor Todd Meece officiating. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 AM. Marian was born on June 28, 1920, daughter of the late Harvey & Mazie Nelson. She married Alfred Keast on July 26, 1947. Marian served 14 years with New Tribes Mission as a missionary in Brazil. Marian attended West Court Street Church of God, Berean Baptist Church and Dexter Street Gospel Chapel in Flint, MI. She also attended the Owasso Country Chapel in Owasso, MI and lastly attended North Baptist Church in Flint. For the past 7 years Marian has resided at Abbey Park, in Grand Blanc, MI. Surviving is her sister, Shirley Fritzler of OR; sister-in-law, Vivian Nelson of MI; 3 sons: Dennis and wife Sharon of IL, David and wife Chawee of CA, and Richard and wife Lori of TN; 2 daughters, Sheryl of TX and Kathi of MI; 6 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Marian was preceded in death by husband Alfred, son Gerald, brother Warren Nelson and sisters Eunice Cotter and Gladys Cassel.
