BROSS, Susan Ann- Age 73, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday February 8, 2020. Funeral services will be held 1PM Tuesday February 11, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Lawrence Gill officiating. Visitation will be held 5PM-8PM Monday with a 7PM American Legion Auxiliary Unit 295, Swartz Creek, memorial service. Visitation will also be held Tuesday 12PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society. Susan was born October 30, 1946 in Detroit, the daughter of Lowell Richard and Gertrude Frances (Huddle) Brown. She married Richard Bross in Farmington Hills, on June 21, 1969. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2018. Susan graduated from North Farmington High School in 1964 and went on to Central Michigan University where she earned her B.S. degree in education. She retired from Swartz Creek School system working from 1978-1988 and she also retired from Whaley Children's Center working from 1988-2003. Susan enjoyed playing bridge, camping with family and studying genealogy. She was a member of Swartz Creek Nazarene church where she taught Sunday school. Susan was also a Girl Scout leader and a member of D.A.R. Surviving are: daughters, Robin Bross-Wallace of Swartz Creek, Jodi (Jason) Bross-McClung of TN; grandsons, Cole Wetherbee and Jason Wallace; sisters, Marsha (Roy) Payton of Utah, Gail (Tony) Kolman of Argentine; brothers, David (Denise) Brown of Howell, Dennis (Beverly) Brown of WV and many nieces and nephews.
