SIPES, David A. – of Burton, age 62, passed away April 16, 2012 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2020 S. Belsay Rd., Burton, MI; Pastor Gregory Ewald officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
David was born in Davison, MI on July 3, 1949, the son of the late Wes and Mary Gingery. He proudly served his country with the US Army during the Vietnam Era. David married Sharon Nehring on November 20, 1990. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. David retired from GM in 2007. He loved to hunt and fish at his cabin in West Branch.
David is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters, Darcey (Anthony) Dunsmore and Jennifer Welch; son, David Sipes Jr.; grandsons, Michael, Jacob and Brandon; great-grandson, Gavin; brother, Rodney Sipes and lots of other wonderful family members.
