FECKOVICS, Elizabeth Rose Marie (Masciarelli) – age 78 of Flushing, MI passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 5PM-7PM and again on Monday May 1, 2017 from 1PM-3PM & 5PM-8PM at Reigle Funeral Home – Sunset Chapel – 5501 W. Pierson Rd. Flushing, MI. A Sons of Italy service will begin Monday at 6PM followed by a Rosary at 7PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 11AM at Good Shepard Catholic Church – 400 N. Saginaw St. Montrose, MI with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Father Anthony Brooks celebrant. Burial will take place at Flushing Cemetery. Rose Marie was born on January 14, 1939 in Flint, MI to the late Emidio and Anne (Vanadia) Masciarelli. She married Roger Feckovics on August 5, 1961. Rose Marie graduated from the University of Michigan - Flint with a teaching degree and went on to teach Kindergarten at Holy Redeemer and St. Luke’s. She also taught religious education for many years at St. Luke’s and St. Robert’s. Her love of children extended from teaching to providing in-home daycare. Rose Marie also volunteered at Applewood and the Sloan Museum. She was very active in the St. Luke church community for many years before moving to Good Shepard in Montrose. She was proud of her heritage and a member of Sons of Italy. Her love of life and people of all ages spanned across many areas. She was always on the go and loved being with family and friends. Rose Marie was an avid cook and baker. She was a member of the YMCA where she did water aerobics, a member of two book clubs, the Flushing Sr. Center Writing Club, the Flint Yard and Garden Club, and in several women’s guilds. She was a huge sports fan, loved her Tigers, and “most” Michigan teams – GO BLUE! Surviving are her husband, Roger Feckovics; children, Diane (Jon) Walker, Douglas (Imelda) Feckovics, Donna (Tim) Baroski, and Daniel (Beth) Feckovics; grandchildren, Alexander, Eric, Joseph, Courtnee (Ethan), Douglas John Paul, William, and Cecilia.
