Flynn, Maxine V. of Flushing, age 83, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at her home. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Roy Horning will officiate. Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until the time of Mass Thursday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Catholic School or a charity of your choice.
Maxine was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 8, 1929, the daughter of Gabriel and Jacqueline Walter. She married Edward Flynn on April 6, 1956. Maxine loved to travel and together with her husband, they visited many beautiful places. They enjoyed spending their winters in Florida. Maxine was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Maxine is survived by: her husband, Edward of 56 years; grandson, Sean and wife Melissa Flynn; sister, Eunice Snyder and brother, Lewis Walter. She was preceded in death by her infant children, Edward “Chip”, Jacqueline, Brian and son, Dion.
