LECHOTA, James L. - Of Lennon, age 57, died Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center.

Visitation 1-8pm Sunday and 11am Monday until the time of the service at the at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, where the service will be held 12noon Monday, November 10, 2014,
Father Douglas Nelson Osborn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society.

James was born in Flint on June 3, 1957, where he lived until moving to Lennon in 1986. On July 31, 1976, he married Erin Lee Goyette. James received his Associates Degree from Mott College and became a Master Electrician. He was an Electrician at General Motors for over 30 years. There was nothing Jim couldn’t fix. He showed, trained and bred horses and he also enjoyed showing his Corvette. Jim was a bone marrow donor. Jim was a member of the Flushing Lodge #233 F.& A.M.

Surviving are wife, Erin;

mother, Betty Lechota;

siblings, Tom and wife Nancy Lechota, Dan and wife Sue Lechota, Jean and husband Jack Minca, Mary Ellen and husband Bob Britt, Nancy and husband Tom Gekeler, Margaret and husband Eldon Brown, Barbara and husband Don Schopieray, Kathryn and husband Erik Andersen, Anne and husband Donnie Walters, Andrew Lechota;

and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Lechota on January 15, 2000.
