McCARLEY, William Alfred, Sr. – Age 85, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Genesee Gardens.
Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at More Life Tabernacle, 6430 Lennon Road, Swartz Creek, MI, Bishop Jerry Stoner officiating.
William was born on May 13, 1932 in Iva, SC, to parents, Guy and Lugenia (Peace) McCarley.
He was a member of More Life Tabernacle and UAW Local #636.
Mr. McCarley worked for 37 years for GM Willow Run Plant, retiring in 1990.
Surviving are children, Linda (Greg) Maynard and
James David (Darby) McCarley;
daughter-in-law, Debra McCarley;
grandchildren, Gregory (Calista) Maynard II,
Jenifer (Kyle) Kilburn,
Matthew (Christina) Maynard,
Alexandra McCarley,
Sydney McCarley,
Jamie McCarley,
Jeremy (Kryss) McCarley,
Damon (Brandi) McCarley and
Theresa (Warren) Benton;
19 great-grandchildren;
sister, Shelby (Ken) Miller;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna E. McCarley; son, William A. McCarley, Jr; grandsons, Chad D. McCarley and Jason W. McCarley.
