MEINECKE, Henry “Hank” Duane – of Davison, age 80, passed away October 17, 2015 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5496 Lippincott Blvd., Burton 48519; Rev. Gregory E. Ewald officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Wednesday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Hank was born in Vassar, MI on May 14, 1935, son of the late Henry and Amelia (Arnst) Meinecke. He married Arlene Frisorger on August 13, 1955 and they recently celebrated their 60 years of marriage. Hank retired as a general foreman of the 29-62 Tool Room at AC Spark Plug after 30 plus years of loyal service. He was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church and Davison Country Club. Hank loved making “Hank’s Hooch” wine, snowmobiling, golf and tinkering with John Deere tractors. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Hank is survived by wife, Arlene; children, Greg (Terrie) Meinecke and Cathy (Kevin) McInerney; grandchildren, Alan Meinecke, Christene and Kyle McInerney; brother, Jack (Pat) Meinecke; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by sisters, Gerry, Dorothy, Henrietta, Amelia and Mildred; brothers, Bob and Harold.
