MORIN, Doris M. – of Flint, age 84, passed away September 3, 2016 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Entombment will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM-4 PM and 6-8 PM Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and 10-11 AM Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the church. A Scripture Service will be held 3 PM Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Doris was born in Alpena, MI on November 28, 1931, daughter of the late William and Caroline (Burnash) DesOrmeau. She married William A. Morin on April 7, 1951 and he preceded her in death on January 14, 2001. Doris was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and loved crossword puzzles, fishing, going to the casino and Detroit Tigers Baseball. She was very active in all sports, especially golf, softball and bowling.
Doris is survived by her children, Kathryn (Nicholas) Adler, Michael (Beth) Morin and William (Karry) Morin; eight grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Susan) DesOrmeau and Park (Sandy) DesOrmeau. She was preceded in death by her siblings, William DesOrmeau, Irene Maybik, Betty Mischloney and Clair DesOrmeau.
