Morse, Lucille “Jane” – of Montrose, age 80, died Friday, December 26, 2014 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 AM, Monday, December 29, 2014 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose. Rev. Fr. Paul Schwermer officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Sunday from 4-9 PM and at the church on Monday from 10AM until time of mass at 11 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Jane was born October 6, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Chester and Lillie (Burtch) Unger. She married Sidney W. Morse on April 21, 1951 in Flushing. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2007. Together, they welcomed six children into the family. As a long-time member of the Montrose community, Jane was actively involved in community events. She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and served Montrose Community Schools for years in food service. A loving mother, grandmother and friend, Jane always had a smile for others.
Surviving and cherishing her memories on earth are 4 children: Lori Morse, Jennifer Short Morse, Rebecca (Brian) Ducham and Joe (Crystal) Morse. 15 grandchildren. Many family members and friends will remember her kindness and love. Also welcoming her to heaven are her son, David, daughter, Debra, grandchildren, Gabriel and Maddison and brothers, Robert and James.
