NOVAK, Julia Ann – of Flint, age 92, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Friday, February 5, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St.; Rev. Fr. Robert C. Bacik celebrant. A private burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison . A Scripture Service will be held 7PM Thursday. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the mass on Friday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries or The North End Soup Kitchen.
Julia was born in Lilly, PA on September 21, 1923, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Gaydos) Olsick. She married John Novak, Sr. in Pennsylvania in 1942 and he preceded her in death.
Julia is survived by her son, John (Susan) Novak, Jr.; grandchildren, Wendy (David) Upthegrove, John (Laurie) Novak III, Joe (Victoria) Novak, Angela (Adam) Snider; great-grandchildren, Riley, Dylan and Brendan Upthegrove, Makayla, Isabelle, Peyton. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Anthony and Joseph.
