McKINNIES, Susan E. - Of Flint, age 84, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle, 1013 Hughes Avenue, Flint,
Bishop Keith McKinnies and Pastors Joey and Tim McKinnies officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Visitation 2-8pm Tuesday and 1pm Wednesday until the time of the service at the church. There will be no visitation at Swartz Funeral Home.
Susan was born in Marion, Illinois on January 30, 1930. On December 27, 1952, she married Robert McKinnies in Carterville, IL. Susan and Robert were the founders of Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle. She taught school in the Flint area for over 30 years.
Surviving are children, Charis and husband David Dumond of Corunna, Bishop Keith and wife Joyce of Flint, Stephanie and husband Harold Crossley of Flint and Pastor Joey and wife Patricia of Owosso, MI;
8 grandchildren, Michael, Charita, Timothy, Crystal, Tamara, Melissa, Jason and Josiah;
14 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Robert D, McKinnies, parents, John and Edna Williams and sister, Hallie Benefield.
