FROST, Phillip “Phil” Stanley passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Monday, May 13, 2019 at the age of 74. Funeral services will be held 4 PM Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Captain Timothy Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12-4 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to charity of one’s choice. Phil was born on July 8, 1944 and was raised in Swartz Creek, MI. Phil went right to work at General Motors and supported his high school sweetheart Sandi Frost and their family. After a long, 30-year career, he retired from GM in 1997. When he wasn’t spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Phil enjoyed landscaping and was known for his meticulously manicured lawn. He also loved spending time outside with his two dogs, Jack and Maggie Mae, especially while listening to Classic Rock. Spending time with his family, particularly during the holidays, will forever be cherished memories by everyone. Phil is survived by his daughters, Deanna Frost and Kelly Root; son-in-law David Root; grandchildren, Mikenzie Frost, Macie Root, Maxwell Root and Mallory Root; sister-in-law Joyce Harrison, and several nieces and nephews. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Harriett; sister and brother-in-law Jerrie and Chuck Johnson; and beloved wife Sandi of 56 years. Phil’s quick wit and sense of humor will be dearly missed by his family and anyone who knew him. His infectious grin will never be forgotten and the warm feeling it elicited. The numerous memories made will last a lifetime and knowing Phil is now at peace with Sandi, brings comfort to everyone around him. Tributes may be posted at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
