Jessamine Marie Scott, age 103 of Durand, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Durand Senior Care and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Watkins Brothers funeral Homes, Durand Chapel with Pastor John Walworth officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service.
Jessamine was born on June 29, 1909 in Lansing, MI the daughter of William and Edna (Hann) Eames.
She married Charles Hopper in Detroit on June 27, 1929. He died in 1962. She later married Gerald Scott and he passed away in 1984.
Mrs. Scott was a member of the Vernon United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by 1 son, Jack (Pam) Hopper of Durand; 2 step-daughters: Phyllis Ann (James) Voit of St. Johns, Geraldine (Rex) King of Florida; 8 grandchildren; many great and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; daughter, Phyllis Ann Sunday and son, Gerald Hopper.
