DARBY, Grace Irene – of Davison, age 94, passed away April 8, 2016 at Genesee Care Center in Grand Blanc. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11AM-1PM & 3-7PM Wednesday. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute to Genesee Cancer Blood Disease and Treatment Center.
Grace was born in Bad Axe, MI on July 13, 1921, daughter of the late John and Mabel (Scott) Meredith. She married Frederick Darby on April 8, 1945 and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1987.Grace owned Grace’s Beauty Shop.
Grace is survived by her son, James Darby; daughter-in-law, Judy; daughter, Caren Paris; five grandchildren, Steven Darby, Stefanie (Sean) Foltz, Johnny (Sook Hi) Paris, Christopher (Tracy) Paris, Mark (Rochelle) Paris; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Michelson, Frances Hethcock; son-in-law, John Paris.
