HEINZ, Judith “Judy” Ann (Wangler) - age 72, of New Lothrop, died Friday, January 17, 2020 at home surrounded by her family, following a two year battle with Leukemia. Funeral Mass will take place 11 AM, Monday, January 20, 2020 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church - Maple Grove, 17994 Lincoln Rd., New Lothrop. Rev. Fr. John Cotter will officiate with burial to follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Swartz Creek at 2:30 PM. Visitation will take place Sunday from 11 AM to 8 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and again on Monday from 10 AM until the time of service at the church. Judy was born on March 4,1947, in West Branch, the daughter of Donald and Margaret (Palm) Wangler. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School, Class of 1965. Judy married Frank Heinz on September 10, 1966. She worked as the camp secretary for the Girl Scout Fair Winds Council office for 30 years before she retired. In her free time, she cherished spending time with her family, and gardening, camping, traveling, baking and crocheting. She also loved watching U of M football "Go Blue". Judy was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Daughter's of Isabella Regina Coeli #1095 and Lioness Club.

She was the most kind, generous, and loving mother, she was our biggest cheerleader and supporter. She was our rock and she was loved by all who met her. She loved all her grandsons and was so happy to welcome a great-granddaughter who became the “Twinkle in her eye.”

She is survived by her 3 children, Crissy (Dan) Fath, Shelly (Chuck) Purves and Frankie (Shannon) Heinz; 6 grandchildren, Travis (Brook) Fath, Austin (Calli Carter) Fath, Tristan Heinz, Cameron Heinz, Aiden Heinz and Zach Amman; one great-granddaughter, Reagan Fath;4 siblings, Joyce Rust, Joan (Ron) Whaley, Donald (Linda) Wangler Jr., and Dale (Cheryl) Wangler; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat Miss Bozo.

Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank, parents, Donald and Margaret, and brother-in-law, Tony Rust.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Karmanos Cancer Institute, Dr. Alavi, Dr. Grewal, and nurses Sarah and Melissa and the U of M Hematology/Oncology, Dr. Burke and nurses, Matt and Nicole.
