MITCHELL, Louise V. - Of Clio, age 89, died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Genesee Care Center.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Deacon Ron Kenney officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Visitation 2-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Louise was born in Calumet, Michigan on February 3, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Kathryn (Paarvinen) Holm. She grew up in Laurium, Michigan. On May 24, 1946, she married John Mitchell and he preceded her in death in 1985. Louise retired from Kettering University in 1985 where she was employed for over 15 years. She was a member of Eastern Star and her hobbies included bowling, golf, reading, and traveling. Louise enjoyed being around her family and she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are daughters, Mary (Kay)(Bernard) Stocker and Jo Ann Williams;
grandchildren, Stephen (Deanna) Stocker, Eric (Angela) Stocker, Jason (Carmela) Stocker, Terry (Wendy) Williams, Michael Williams and Candace Gleason;
great-grandchildren, Alexandra Stocker, Breanna Stocker, Cameron Stocker, Julia Stocker, Ryan Stocker, Jackson Williams, Trey Williams, Michael Williams II, Brooke Adams and Brandi Adams;
and several nieces and nephews.
Louise was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shannon D. Mitchell in 1978 and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
