McKAMIE, Glenna M. – Of Flint, age 84, died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor David Stevens officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Those desiring may make contributions to the National Federation for the Blind or Macular Degeneration Foundation.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McKamie was born in North Bradley, Michigan on September 23, 1926, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Day) Holsinger.
She enjoyed playing cards and traveling with her family and friends.
Mrs. McKamie worked as a Paraprofessional for the Flint Community Schools.
Surviving are children, Robert and wife Kathleen McKamie of Flint,
Charles McKamie and significant other, Esther,
Richard and wife Nikola McKamie of Canton, Michigan and
Debra Valley of Flint;
several grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
one brother and six sisters, whom she enjoyed meeting with for monthly luncheons;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James.
