REVIS, Frances Elizabeth – of Davison, age 85, passed away March 25, 2012 at Brian's House Hospice of Davison. A Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Chaplain Gene Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and 12-1 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brian's House Hospice.
Frances was born in Chester, South Carolina on May 27, 1926, daughter of the late Jay Wylie and Lola (Grant) Benson. She was a resident of the Davison area since 1961. Mrs. Revis was a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene and the Evening Star Quilt Guild. She took her “trip around the world” quilting. Frances was a bus driver with the Davison School District, retiring on January 1, 1987. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Frances is survived by her children, Frances Harris, Walter Hollifield and Troy Revis Jr. (Alice); nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy E. Revis and son, Bobby Eugene Hollifield.
