LLOYD, Alan Benjamin Roland -- Age 71, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday December 20, 2016 at his residence. Services will be held 1 PM Friday January 6, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Committal service to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 10 AM until time of service Friday January 6 at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of ones choice.
Alan was born May 5, 1945 in Detroit the son of Arthur B. and Wilma K. ( Kuhl) Lloyd. He was a 1963 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Alan retired from GM. He enjoyed bowling and was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers.
He is survived by 2 children, Alan (RuthAnn) Lloyd of Helena, Montana, Lori Lloyd-Kerns of West Bloomfield; 12 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Carole (Denny) Gould, Kathryn (Jim) Miller; brother, Gary Lloyd; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 grandchildren; and nephew, Ray Prescott.
