O'CONNOR, Sharon Ann - Of Flint, age 81, died Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Landings of Genesee Valley.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Thursday, January 31, 2019 St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint,
Father Thomas Firestone and Father Douglas Osborn officiating.
Entombment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation 1-8pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Thursday at church until the time of the Mass.
Sharon was born in Saginaw, Michigan on August 8, 1937, the daughter of the late Clarence and Julia (Hentges) Feehan. On October 22, 1960, she married Patrick O’Connor in Merrill, Michigan. Sharon was a Registered Nurse and worked for the American Red Cross. She enjoyed spending time with her family, summers at the cottage on Little Island Lake, reading, was very creative and talented and enjoyed a variety of crafts. Sharon was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
Surviving are husband, Patrick O’Connor;
children, Maureen (Mike) Newman, Michael (Severiana) O’Connor, Colleen (Joe) Morrison, John (Shey) O’Connor, James (Susan) O’Connor, and Maryann O’Connor;
grandchildren, Michael, Morgan, Jennifer, Meghan, Jack, Grant, Madelyn, Ryan, Matthew, Emily, Molly, Owen, Daphney and Everleigh;
great-grandchildren, William, Michael and Nolan;
nephew, Earl Whitmore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister-in-law, Mary O’Connor.
