DUBBS, John D. “Jack” – of Davison, age 85, passed away May 15, 2015 at Genesys Convalescent Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon Monday, May 18, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Monday at church. A Scripture Service will be held 4 PM on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Building or Organ Fund.
Jack was born in Flint, MI on September 23, 1929, son of the late Howard and Mary (Johnson) Dubbs. Jack married Mary Suzanne Coe in 1949 and she preceded him in death in 1989. He then married Darlene DeWitt in May of 1990 and she preceded him in death on July 3, 2010. Jack retired from Fisher Guide after 34 ½ years of service. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and choir, Davison Knights of Columbus #4090 and the Kooks Club.
Jack is survived by children, Timothy (Mary Ann) Dubbs, Tee (Jack) Klosterman, Greg (Debbie) Dubbs, Kevin Dubbs, Fran Withers and Kristine Mitchell, Steve (Robin) DeWitt, Jeff (Billie) DeWitt, Brad (Janis) DeWitt, Ed (Judy) DeWitt, Julie Whitman, Michelle Vaughn and Don (Rhonda) DeWitt; over 80 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Carole Gray, MaryAnn (Elmer) Cox and Martha (Leo) Helms; good friends, Joni McKechnie and Theresa Kennedy. He was preceded in death by daughter, Wendy Dubbs; son-in-law, Norm Meints and brothers-in-law, Jim Malloy and Dave Gray.
