TROUPE, Wesley J. – Of Grand Blanc, age 77, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 6pm Monday, January 7, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, The Reverend George L. Cleaves, Jr. officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 1-8pm Sunday and 1-6pm Monday at the funeral home.
Wesley was born in Big Rapids on July 6, 1935. He grew up in Big Rapids before moving to Grand Blanc in 1956. He was employed at Grand Blanc Tank Plant for 35 years and retired in 1990. Wesley served in the National Guard. He was a member of Tails A Wagon Camping Group and was a member of St. Christopher Episcopal Church. He enjoyed watching his grandson play hockey and baseball and never missed a game.
Surviving are son, Bradley;
daughter, Julie;
grandchildren, Tara (Judd) McCullough, Thomas Troupe, Trevor Troupe and Karen (Chris Dickinson) Troupe;
great-grandchildren, Allie and Nole McCollough and Kia;
and brother, Paul (Karen).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jeanne.
