NEW, Robert David – Of Fenton, age 78, died Friday, January 13, 2017
at Genesee Care Center.
Cremation has taken place and memorial service will be held 1pm Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Craig Dockery officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Reverence Hospice.
Visitation 11am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Robert was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on September 25, 1938, the son of the late James and Gladys (Gooslin) New. On February 2, 1959, he married Darlene Vreeland.
Surviving are wife, Darlene;
children, Lori Ann Padgett, Loraine (Ron) New-Travis, and Tina Wojciechowski;
6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson;
siblings, Sylvia (John) Hockenbury, Lillian Youmans, Carson New and Judy Jones.
Robert was also preceded in death by his brother James.
