HAW, George C. - Of Flint, age 89, died Saturday, May 4, 2013
at Fostrian Manor.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Wednesday, May 8, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery with military rites under the auspices of VFW Post #822 Honor Guard.
Visitation 2-8pm Tuesday and 11am Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
George was born in Flint on May 24, 1923, the son of the late Charles and Lydia (Jackson) Haw and was a resident of Flint all his life. On October 5, 1963 he married Annabelle Moody. George proudly served in the United States Army during World War II in England and France. George owned and operated his landscaping business for over 40 years.
Surviving are daughter, Elizabeth and husband John Odle III;
son, Frank and wife Wendy;
grandchildren, Katherine, Maximilian, Jena, Allison, Samantha, McKenzie, Jackson and Theodore;
daughter-in-law, Nichol;
and his best friend, John Odle, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his wife Annabelle and son, Robert Haw
