O’DELL, Faye R. - Of Flint, age 72, while surrounded by her loving family, went peacefully home to be with her Lord on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Visitation 12noon-4pm and 6-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Chaplain Goodman L. Cox officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Faye was born in Bear Creek, Alabama on May 19, 1940, the daughter of the late William and Josie (Hallman) Wylie. She was raised in Southeast Missouri and resided most of her life in Flint. On November 21, 1959, she married Raymond O’Dell. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Faye’s life work was her family and her faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond of 53 years;
Daughters, Teresa and husband Leslie Turnbull, Debra Clark, Connie and husband Todd McMichael and Kim and husband Troy Hibbeln;
grandchildren, Lindsay and husband Ryan Harrington, Michael Turnbull, Stephanie Turnbull and fiancé Jason Patten, Tyler, Nicholas and Courtney Hibbeln, Connor and Megan McMichael;
great-grandchildren, Alex and Elizabeth Harrington;
siblings, Flossie and husband J.C. Presley, Lois Lipsey, Arvo “Bo” and wife Ellen Wylie, Wanda and husband Larry Symons, Gene and wife Carolyn “Bunny” Wylie and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Cody Clark, her parents and 6 siblings.
Family would like to thank Dr. Ron Coriasso and staff, Dr. Paul Adams and staff at Genesys/Hurley Oncology and Hematology and 2nd Floor Oncology Nurses, Jennifer and Sarah at Genesys Regional Medical Center for the special care they gave Faye.
