DONOVAN, Harriet Ruth – of Clio, age 92, died Friday, June 19, 2020. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene in Otisville, Michigan. The family will receive visitors from 1:30 until time of service at the church. Inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Richfield Church of the Nazarene.
Harriet was born April 28, 1928 in Clio, Michigan to the late Guy and Susie (Richards) Dodge. She grew up in Genesee County and resided here all her life. Harriet graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1946. On October 31, 1974 she married Kenneth Donovan in Las Vegas, Nevada and he preceded her in death in 2015. Prior to her retirement in 1988, Harriet worked as a Teller for Genesee Bank with 28 years of service. She was a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene. Harriet liked quilting, casino trip, traveling, and comedy movies. She enjoyed being a snowbird at Madiera Beach Seatower Community for the last 30 years. However, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and all her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children, Susan (Kirk) Blandford, Kaye (Ian) Riddell; Step Children, Kenneth (Cheryl) Donovan Jr., Rick (Jan) Donovan; Grandchildren, Jenni, Jason, Marci, Joni, Cameron; Great Grandchildren, Kyle Barden, Samantha Barden, Alyssa Barden, Eddie Ponagai, Mason Ponagai, Connor Blanford, Alaina Blandford, Easton Clemons, Kaden Clemons; 2 Great - Great Grandchildren.
