OSTERMAN, Arthur J. – of Montrose, age 73, died Saturday, September 3, 2016 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Montrose United Methodist Church in Montrose. Pastor Hal Phillips officiating. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 10AM until time of services at 11AM.
Art was born December 22, 1942 in Flint to the late Joseph and Helen (Middleton) Osterman. He was a Montrose resident his entire life. He served in the US Navy. Art married Joan Hayden on October 28, 1972. Mr. Osterman retired from Chevrolet V8 Engine with 35 years seniority. He was a member of the Montrose United Methodist Church, Montrose American Legion Post #367 and the UAW Local #659. He enjoyed reading and traveling.
Surviving are: Wife, Joan; Son, Stan Nippa of Jackson; Granddaughter, Bethany Nippa of Holt; Brother, John (Ellen) Osterman of Munroe, OH; several nieces and nephews.
