VANSTON, Linda Kay (Mishall) - Age 79, of Grand Blanc, died Friday, June 21, 2019. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, June 29, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Friday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM where a time of sharing service will be held at 7 PM. Visitation will also be Saturday at the church from 10 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Flint Institute of Arts.
Linda was born October 11, 1939 in Ft. Wayne, IN, the daughter of Carroll and Wanda Vernice (Seagroves) Miller. She was a 1958 graduate of Grand Blanc High School and received an Associates Degree from Mott Community College. She married Joffre V. Mishall in 1970 and he preceded her in death in 1998, she then married Paul L. Vanston in 2001. Linda had been employed by Buick Motors; various multi level sales; and was the director of Meals on Wheels in Livingston County. She was a former member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where she was an Eucharistic Minister. Linda devoted a lot of her time to serving her fellow man in multiple capacities.
Surviving are: her husband, Paul; children, Kerri (Ralph) Messer of Fenton, Darci Champion of Brighton; step children, Barry Mishall of Florida, Jeff (Toni) Vanston of California, Steve (Tony) Horner of Lansing, Wendy (Jim) Barone of Williamston, Dean Vanston of Petosky, and Elizabeth (Lynn) Hoffmann of Saginaw; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Deborah (Cliff) Wamsley of Florida, Connie (Lowell) Pressler of South Carolina, and Paula Burns of Mio; brother, Pete Irwin of Mio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her stepsons, James Mishall and William Hoffmann; son-in-law, Will Stiverson; sisters, Karlyn and Margo. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
