WAGNER, James A. – of New Lothrop, age 66, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Genesys Hospital. Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church- Maple Grove. Fr. Christopher Coman officiating. Burial in St. Michael Cemetery in Maple Grove. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Monday from 2PM until 8PM. A Rosary will be prayed at 7PM by the Knights of Columbus Council #2493. James will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of mass at 11AM. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Knights of Columbus Council #2493
James was born on October 29, 1947 in Brookville, Pennsylvania to the late John R. and Alice B. (Klavon) Wagner. He was a 1965 graduate of Montrose High School. James married Paula Hill in February of 1967 in Pontiac, Michigan. Mr. Wagner retired from Buick after 32 years seniority. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #2493, Double Deuce Car Club and the Buick Car Club of America. James loved classic cars.
Surviving are: wife, Paula Wagner of New Lothrop; 2 daughters, Jamie (Kevin) Boxey of Columbiaville, Kathryn (Sean) Kralik of Flushing; 1 son, John (Sarah) Wagner of Portage; 8 grandchildren, Briana Boxey (Fiance David), Meghan (Mike) Grondin, Sarah Boxey (Fiance Blake), Paul Boxey, Xavier Wagner, Parker Wagner, Justin Kralik and Heather Kralik; 2 great grandchildren, Mitchell Grondin and Alice Grondin; 2 brothers, Harry Wagner and Don (Linda) Wagner; mother in law, Maryjane Hill; Sisters in law, Cheryl (Stan) Lynch-Cohoon, Roxana Daly, Valerie (John) Snear; brother in law, Doug (Sandra) Hill; many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
