WOLVERTON, Nancy C. - Age 80, of Linden, died November 26, 2017. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Argentine Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Tuesday and from 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Nancy was born November 2, 1937 in Byron, the daughter of William Henry and Gladys Mae (Knapp) Hyde. She was a graduate of Linden High School and was married to Richard J. Wolverton on August 29, 1959. Mrs. Wolverton worked as a secretary to Dr. Edgar Vaughan. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and watching the Detroit Tigers. Nancy loved to gamble, with slot machines being her favorite. She was her grandchildren's #1 fan and never missed a sporting event. She is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Jeffrey (Christine) Wolverton; daughter, Lynette (Robert) Sheyachich; grandchildren, Matthew (Kayla) Wolverton, Steven Wolverton, Taylor Sheyachich and Sydney Sheyachich; great-granddaughter, Brantley; brothers, Robert and Carl Hyde; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Geraldine, Marjorie, Evelyn and Arnola; brother, Bill. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
