BERGERON, Norbert M. - Of Flint, age 79, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at his residence.
Visitation 1-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Friday evening at the funeral home, followed by a Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Memorial Service. Mr. Bergeron will be at the church 10am Saturday until the time of the Mass.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Saturday, November 28, 2015
at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Norbert was born in Flint on January 24, 1936, the son of the late Louis and Florence (Coates) Bergeron. On September 14, 1957, he married Eleanor McDonald and she preceded him in death on December 21, 2014. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #10170. Norbert retired from General Motors in January 1988, as a Tool and Die Maker, after 33 years of service.
Surviving are children, Rebecca (Jerry) Schott, Matthew (Christine) Bergeron, Christopher Bergeron, William Bergeron and Renee (Mark) Lozen;
grandchildren, Bryan, Ian, Jennifer, Ashley, Matthew II, Nicole, Justin, Tawney, Jessica, Chantal and Krystle;
great-grandchildren, Gator, Kora, Kari, Payton, Elijah, Erza, Sylas, Kalia, Aubrey, Carley, Bailey, Leland, Grace and Carlee;
and sister, Margaret Standal.
He was also preceded in death by brother-in-law, Robert Standal.
