William E. Johnson, Sr., age 86, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. He was born on January 12, 1931 in Burton Township, Michigan to parents Oscar and Nettie (McMullen) Johnson. William proudly served in the US Army and remained active in his Veteran community with his membership to VFW Post 822. He retired from Buick Motor Division after 32 years of service. William is survived by his children: Marianne (William) Munger, William (Brenda) Johnson, Jr., Diane (Greg) Martin, and Laura (Bryan) Misenheimer; grandchildren: David, William Jr., Josh, Leeanne, Cassandra, Kristina, Cory, Chelsea, and Allison; sisters: Viola and Dora; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents, three brothers, and four sisters. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street. Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 5-8pm, and again on Monday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery in Grand Blanc, Michigan. |
