BOTOS, Doris M. - Age 89, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, March 4, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 8 at Living Word Church of God, 6325 Calkins Rd., Flint. Pastor Tim McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 4 -7 PM Sunday; 2 - 4 PM and 6-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. They family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church on Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Michigan Cancer Society.
Doris was born August 19, 1926 in Rocky River, Ohio, the daughter of Ernest and Martha (Wilgush) King. She married ALex William Botos on February 14, 1947 in Ashland, KY and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1972. She was a waitress at Dave's Den in Flushing and also the Swartz Creek V.F.W. She was a member of the Living Word Church of God. Doris was a member of the Swartz Creek V.F.W Ladies Auxiliary and the Flushing American Legion. She enjoyed bowling, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved traveling to Florida to visit her sister and going "Up North."
Doris is survived by her five children, Caroll (Dennis) Brockway, Gary (LaDonna) Botos, Paul (Karen) Botos, Diane (Kirk) Buzzard and Sharon (Mark) Pusey; seven grandchildren, Paul Jr., Kevin, Kelly, Amanda, Erica, Jonathon, and Kaitlyn; five great-grandchildren, Allyson, Nickolas, Mallory, Madelyn and Sierra.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Tina; six brothers and one sister. The family would like to thank the staff of Jacob's Ladder and Hartland Hospice for their loving care.
