SCHERFF, Philip Robert – of Davison, age 81 passed away May 11, 2014 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1084 N. Irish Rd., Davison; Rev. Harold Polk, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, Wisconsin at a later date.Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Parkinson Foundation.
Philip was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on December 5, 1932, son of the late Philip and Elva (Nix) Scherff. He married AnnMarie in September of 1957 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Phyllis Roy in October of 1986 in Davison, both preceded him in death.He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. Philip could fix anything, he loved to travel and had a passion for trading stocks. He worked for Western Electric which was later acquired by AT & T.
Philip is survived by his son, John Scherff; step-children, Dennis (Nancy) Roy, Brian (Sue) Roy, Ken (Cheryl) Roy; grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Perdew, Peggie (Kasey) Arledge, Josh (Jill) McFadden, Evan (Monica) Roy, MacGregor Roy, Scott Roy, Kevin Roy, Christina Roy, Chad Roy and four great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Donald (Louise) Hill. He was preceded in death by his brothers, David Scherff, Barrett Scherff and sister, Laura Scherff.
