BRUNELL, Glenda - Age 78, of Byron, died Wednesday September 21, 2016. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Barbara Benjamin officiating. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery, Byron. Visitation will be held 2 PM - 8 PM Friday and 1 PM until time of service on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Byron United Methodist Church.
Glenda was born September 1, 1938 in Wingo, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ruby and Ruby (Copeland) Kennedy. She married Jack Brunell in Detroit on October 18,1958. Mrs. Brunell lived in the Byron area since 1973 after moving from Warren. She graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. Glenda retired from St. Joseph Hospital of Flint in 1993 after 15 years of service.
She is survived by her husband, Jack of Byron; children, Jerome and wife Susan Brunell of Maricorps, AZ, Kenneth and wife Kathryn Brunell of Byron, Deborah Brunell of Harrison Towniship; nine Grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers and four sisters.
