BUCHANAN, Geraldine L. – Of Flint, age 83, died Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home 1225 West Hill Road, Deacon Ron Kenney officiating.
Entombment at Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 12 noon Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Geraldine was born in Flint, Michigan on March 9, 1934, the daughter of Simon and Gladys (Raymond) Kalfs.
On February 27, 1954 she married Joe T. Buchanan at St. Agnes in Flint.
Geraldine loved to crochet and looked forward to Sunday dinners she made and the entire family would come together for a meal.
Mrs. Buchanan was employed in production at General Motors.
Surviving are husband Joe;
children, Joe Buchanan and companion, Mary of Flint,
Doris Reese of Flint,
David and wife Mary Buchanan of South Carolina,
Sally Lozier of Burton,
Jesse Buchanan of Flint and
Patricia Buchanan of Flint;
11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, 2 brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
