Mary Elizabeth Holland, age 91 of Burton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, April 7, 2019. She was born on November 7, 1927 in Dunkirk, Indiana to parents the late James and Laura (Miller) Stoneburner. Mary was a faithful member of More Life Tabernacle. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, playing bingo, and shopping – especially for shoes! She also loved to cook, can vegetables, and bake. More than anything, Mary loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mary is survived by her children: Mary Alice Branscum of Burton, MI, Shirley (Carl) Gugel of Saginaw, MI, Gloria (Daniel) Johnson of Jackson, TN, Alta (Don) Howlett of Grand Blanc, MI, Roger Holland of Flint, MI; son-in-law, Neil Camp of Prescott, MI; 18 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Holland; children: Joe Holland, Gladys Holland, and Virginia Camp; three granddaughters: Ruth Hafer, Debra Holland, and Baby Girl Gugel. The family would like to give special thanks for the staff at The Regency of Grand Blanc for their continuous care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to More Life Tabernacle. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday, April 12, 2019 at More Life Tabernacle, 6430 Lennon Rd., Swartz Creek. Bishop Jerry Stoner officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 10am – 8pm at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, and again on Friday at church one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12pm. Interment at Flint Memorial Park.
